By default your personal knowledge is stored in a KnowHow database that resides in the folder ‘My documents’. You may decide to store your KnowHow database elsewhere.

This it possible with KnowHow Pro. You can store your KnowHow database in a shared folder. Anyone who wishes to use this knowledge base can connect to it with KnowHow Pro.

Your KnowHow icon is in the task bar. When you don’t see it, expand your task bar as the KnowHow icon may be hidden.

Information stored on the tab ‘General’ will be available throughout an application. Information stored on the tab ‘Specific’ will be available for the named screen. These two tabs only appear for well-known office applications and for recognised business applications. For other applications the KnowHow screen contains only one unnamed tab that can hold information for the named screen.

Software requirements:

• Microsoft .NET 2 Framework or later.
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later.
• Windows Installer 3.0 required. Windows Installer 3.1 is recommended.

64-bit support: There are no 64-bit binaries available for KnowHow. However, the 32-bit binaries are fully tested and approved for 64-bit platforms.
