What are the features of LinKit!?
Link work instructions to application windows
Use LinKit! to quickly and easily link your company-specific work instructions to your ERP system. Linking takes place at window level, so that the end user can retrieve a particular work instruction for a particular window at a single key stroke
Link user documentation in any desired format
LinKit! enables you to link documentation and training material to your applications in any format. Whether it concerns CHM or HTM or XML format documentation, or
(new)
files in Word, PDF, Powerpoint or Flash format, you link this information to your business applications at no trouble at all.
No programming or access to the code required
Linking takes place through simple dragging and dropping. No programming knowledge or training in the use of the tool is required.
Supports multilingual documentation
Using LinKit! you can link documentation in various languages.
More than one work instruction per window
LinKit! enables you to link more than one work instruction to a specific application window. Upon retrieval of the relevant instruction, the user will be prompted to select the right document from a selection window.
Link default topic
(new)
For every LinKit! project you can select a default topic from your own help collection. This topic, for instance an index page, will then be displayed for all windows to which no information was linked. This way end users will always stay ‘on track’.
Retrieval of work instruction by clicking icon or pressing key (combo)
The end user can retrieve a linked work instruction in two different ways. 1) By clicking the LinKit! Activator icon in the taskbar. 2) By pressing a predefined key (combo).
Easy-to-use interface
The use of the LinKit! Manager is very easy, because the user interface of the program contains a number of strongly supportive elements:
embedded help info
summary procedural steps in task pane
extensive online help
topics identified by means of color code
Project reports
(new)
The report function enables you to create various online or hardcopy reports of your project details. This way you will always have a clear overview of your projects.
Supports all Windows applications
Using Standard LinKit! you can link work instructions to any Windows application that has unique window titles. An exception is SAP R/3. If you wish to link work instructions to this system, you need to have a LinKit! Enterprise license.
